Data Sources & Attributions

Savant Football doesn't create rankings out of thin air — it gathers, aligns, and re-scores the work of the sources below under your league's rules, and it shows you which source said what on every number. This page credits them all. Savant was built primarily on publicly available data, with one exception — FantasyPros, whose data arrives through their authenticated API — noted below.

Sleeper

The player spine: every active NFL player's identity, team, position and status comes from Sleeper's free, open read-only API — it's the skeleton every other source attaches to. Player headshots and NFL team crests on the boards, labels and cheat sheets are served from Sleeper's public CDN.

FantasyPros

The exception to "publicly available": expert consensus rankings (ECR), projections and ADP from FantasyPros arrive through their authenticated API under their access terms, plus their public rankings pages. Consensus data courtesy of FantasyPros — wherever a FantasyPros number appears in the app, it is labeled as theirs. FantasyPros aggregates the work of 130+ ranked experts; if you value that data, their site and premium tools are the source.

ESPN Fantasy Football

Rankings and projection data from ESPN's fantasy football endpoints, ESPN's published IDP rankings article, and — when you connect your own league — your league's settings, rosters and draft order from ESPN's league API. League credentials for private leagues stay in your browser and are never stored anywhere else.

CBS Sports Fantasy

Rankings, projections, ADP and multi-season historical accuracy context from CBS Sports' publicly published fantasy football pages, including their top-200, positional projections, and kicker/DST rankings.

FFToday

Projections, positional rankings, historical stats and player outlooks from FFToday's publicly published pages — including one of the only independent IDP projection sets anywhere, which makes them especially valuable to this app's IDP leagues.

Fantasy Football Calculator

Live ADP across league sizes and scoring formats from Fantasy Football Calculator's free REST API, drawn from real human mock drafts and updated daily. Their API is free for personal and commercial use with attribution — so: ADP data courtesy of Fantasy Football Calculator.

DynastyProcess

The player-ID crosswalk that lets one player's ESPN id, Sleeper id, FantasyPros id and CBS id all agree they're the same human — from DynastyProcess's open data repository, maintained publicly on GitHub and refreshed weekly.

What Savant adds — and what it doesn't claim. The rankings, projections and ADP belong to their sources; Savant's contribution is the alignment, the league-specific re-scoring, the value engine, and the draft-night machinery around them. Nothing on this site should be read as any source's endorsement of Savant Football. If a source asks us to change how we access or present their data, we will.
